General Job Description:

He/she is responsible for the general management of the Store to which he/she has been assigned. He/she complies with all procedures related to the operation of the Stores and appropriately handles situations that arise. He/she is responsible for ensuring that the sales and expense budgets of the Store are met.

Essential Responsibilities:

· Maintain a daily record of sales and their comparison with the established budget. Notify the Area Supervisor daily about the status of sales and any event that prevents achieving the established goal.

· Carry out activities or rotate merchandise in the store that promote sales, as well as encourage employees to stimulate customers through suggestive selling. Verify that the store is adequately decorated and labeled.

· Comply with the aspects evaluated by the “ mystery shoppers ” at all times, including, but not limited to: quality of customer service, knowledge of employees, availability and presentation of merchandise, proper use of store space, environment.

· Know and complete all forms, control books and documents related to store management. Submit documentation or information required by the Central Office when required. Send orders to the Warehouse on or before the established date.

· Balance the Petty Cash and the cash registers following the established procedure and frequency. Inform the Area Supervisor of any difference in the amount of less or surplus, whether in the Petty Cash or any Cash Register. Ensure that sufficient funds are maintained in the Petty Cash for the operation of the store.

· Make deposits daily, both partial and final, when applicable, following established procedures. Notify the Area Supervisor of any situation.

· Ensure that Store personnel are properly trained for the functions for which they were hired.

· Carry out any managerial tasks that may arise at the cash registers.

· Handle customer complaints or situations and notify the Area Supervisor. Complete forms or refer situations to the Central Office, as each case requires.

· Keep the store organized, clean and stocked at all times, including the warehouse. Take inventory and purchase orders, as well as coordinate with suppliers who directly refill their assigned shelves in the store.

· Inform the Area Supervisor of any defect, equipment malfunction, or any situation related to the store's physical plant. Make the purchases that the Area Supervisor authorizes to handle the different situations, following the established procedure.

· Manage situations that arise with employees and consult with the Area Supervisor or the Human Resources Manager regarding situations that may result in disciplinary proceedings.

· Participate in the employee recruitment process, as well as report on vacancies that arise in the store.

· Prepare the store schedule at least two (2) weeks in advance and ensure that all employees are aware of the shifts to which they have been assigned. Ensure compliance with the established payroll budget on a regular basis and for periods of increased sales. Reconcile the employee payroll within the required period and send it to the Payroll Department for the corresponding processing.

· Consult with the Area Supervisor any situation that requires his/her attention and keep him/her informed of any event that may affect the normal operation of the store.

· Ensure that price changes notified by Head Office are processed correctly. Instruct employees on price changes that may create confusion or customer complaints. Ensure that all merchandise is properly marked.

· Manage merchandise receipt and prepare and distribute a work plan to all employees to ensure that the store is up to date on merchandise availability.

· Carry out merchandise transfers to the Warehouse or between stores in coordination with the Area Supervisor and following established procedures. Likewise, ensure the shipment of broken or damaged merchandise, following the procedure.

· Follow company instructions regarding theft and/or loss of merchandise. In addition, the employee is responsible for managing the annual physical inventories that the company requires to be carried out. This includes organizing the store and warehouse and properly identifying the boxes with the items and the quantities contained.

· Know, manage and supervise compliance with all procedures, controls and processes of the Store.

Requirements:

Fourth year of high school and at least two (2) years of college studies leading to an Associate's Degree or a Bachelor's Degree in areas related to Business Administration. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an equivalent position in the retail sales industry.

Physical Conditions:

Moderately physically active work that may require moving through and outside the store and standing, sitting, walking, bending, and climbing stairs. Work is generally performed in air conditioning. Work requires occasional lifting of up to thirty (30) pounds. Hand-eye coordination and visual acuity are required.
